What customers say?

“ Yuzuki-san and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and gave the place a lively and energetic vibe. Food and drinks were amazing. Definitely recommend the corn tempura and 紅茶high. Can't wait to visit them again. ”

“ The best izakaya experience I have ever had. This place showed me the sweetest, kindest, friendliest side of Japan. I will absolutely come back! ”

“ Fantastic food and friendly service! We came late and the bar was busy, but they allowed us to sit outside. The staff were so friendly and helpful! (They moved us inside once a table was free). I recommend the Fried Chicken Wings (boneless) and the liver pate. Shout out to Yazuki! Wonderful service! ”

“ Even though it is just a small alleyway with some string lights, it always feels a bit magical to walk through Renaga zaka. This little gem is nestled close to the end of the street when approaching from Nakano station. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to ensure that they explained the raw dishes because my wife is pregnant. They had a decent selection of sake as well, which i guess is why most come here. Their menu is also seasonal so i was impressed with how creative some of the dishes were. The toro and raw egg dish was my favorite followed by one of the best potato salads I've had in Japan (I order that everywhere). They even had golden eye snapper, which is not that common in many places. Price was reasonable for the amount of food we ordered. The waiter kept asking if we would like half portions (haha, so considerate!). I would highly recommend trying this place! ”

“ This wonderful place was recommended a YouTuber (@whatthepato and @tokyocheapo). Where should I start. Service: When we arrived at 7pm, the izakaya was packed and would have had to wait 2hrs without a reservation. Yuzuki-san was super helpful and nice, gave us the table outside. It was 29°C, not exactly comfortable, but it was worth it. Yuzuki constantly came to check in on us as well as helped us with the Japanese menu and made some delicious recommendations. The best service on this trip, and Japanese people are known to be hospitable to begin with. Food: The Otoshi (table charge appy) was so delicious. Simple tofu, ground pork and Japanese sesame dressing. Would have ordered it on its own. We ordered a kampachi collar, skipjack capacious, beef stew and their famous Corn tempura. Everything wad perfectly seasoned and cooked. The corn was 1000% worth the hype. We are already planning to comeback before our trip ends Once again thank you to Yuzuki for an amazing night out. ”

“ We got almost all the menu, no one dish fail, all was excellent and the stud was absolutely lovely ”

“ Yuzuki-san is WONDERFUL. She helped us select nihonshu to drink. When I asked her to choose one, she selected one from her hometown. It was delicious. The omakase three appetizer selection was great: cheese, salted mackerel, and pickled sweet potato. My husband and I had such a great time. I’ll remember this place for years to come. Thank you, Yuzuki and Aonisai! ”
